Bill Emkow is growth strategist for Bridge and the Center for Michigan. With over two decades of digital media under his belt, Bill helped dramatically broaden the digital reach at every stop in his journalism career. He helped lead two Michigan news sites, MLive.com and the Detroit Free Press, to the state's top-ranked position for news sites (Comscore). While at WXYZ-TV, his team turned to Facebook to engage readers and viewers, and the station's page quickly became Michigan’s most-engaged news source (CrowdTangle). In two years, he helped grow Bridge's unique visitors 160 percent and double its email subscribers. Bill has a B.A. in journalism from Michigan State University, and is a former vice president for the Detroit chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. He is an alumnus of the Facebook Membership Accelerator, and was a featured speaker at Facebook's Audience Accelerator in Canada. You can reach him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
