Bridge Book Club to read ‘The Death and Life of the Great Lakes’ in May

Bridge Book Club makes its triumphant return in May and this time, the focus is on one of Michigan’s (and the world’s) most important natural resources.

We will read “The Death and Life of the Great Lakes” by Pulitzer Prize finalist Dan Egan, and we’re honored he will join us to discuss this important book. “The Death and Life of the Great Lakes” is Egan’s portrait of an ecological catastrophe happening before our eyes, blending the epic story of the lakes with an examination of the perils they face and how they can be restored for generations.

Grab your lunch and join Bridge Book Club for a discussion of the book on Zoom from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m .on May 26. Bridge Michigan environmental reporter Kelly House will lead the conversation with Egan, who is the journalist in residence at the Center for Water Policy in the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's School of Freshwater Sciences.
