Bridge database: How your school district gains (or doesn't) under funding proposal

Billion-dollar solution

Bridge Magazine calculates it would cost Michigan an additional $1.4 billion in K-12 spending to provide school districts with the funding a new study says they need to properly educate students.

Some districts would fare well under the recommendations, while others, by the standards of the study, are over-funded. (The study’s authors say they do not recommend reducing payments to over-funded districts.)

Calculations in the study are based on 2014-15 school year data.
